Elder Sasaki was involved in a transfer this past week which brought him to Ha’alaufuli Vava’u.
He is LOVING where he is!! He was quick to tell me that Ha’alaufuli is where my grandmother is from. I actually did not know that 🙈, lol. He said that there is a lot of work to do. They have had non-stop teaching appointments and they are even teaching two Chinese investigators who have lived there for 10 years. They have had fafanga (eating) appointments with the members twice a day . . . So he has more than enough food 🤣. It is hilly and beautiful. His companion is Elder Makaafi from Boise Idaho who’s been out 9 months. We were cut off before we were done and hopefully we will get pictures soon. He did share that he had only 3 shirts and 3 tupenus and 3 ties. Good thing we have box with shirts and other clothes in there headed to him right no (shhhh, he doesn’t know. Its a surprise box).
He was excited to see his old companion Elder Lomu who will be returning home to AZ next week.
Life is different but he is loving it and sends his love and aloha to all of you 😊❤️.
