Week 24: Transfer was extended another week.

Mom I’m in Vaini and my comp is elder Ma. The transfer was extended another week cause prez was in Vava’u. I’m good, dang you guys had a lot of fun didn’t you. That’s so sad that President Thalman passed away, I thought he was doing better.

Yeah elder Kalanite is my zone leader. Me and him did a vilo hoa (splits) last Thursday it was cool. That’s rough for Micah and Martin (Micah is sick and Martin got his finger glued).

So Hopefully I move Sunday. Everyone was just waiting and anticipating and until finally at like 10 at night we got a text saying transfers are next week. haha

Week 23: Hey mom, Happy Birthday.

The big picture was all the missionaries in Tonga and Eua. Haapai and Vavau had their own mission tour. This Transfer has been okay. If I was to describe this transfer in one word it would be ENDURE. The transfer ends Sunday. The work is okay we’re teaching this girl she is like 22. We invited her to be baptized she said she would pray about it. I’m sorry I’ll be better about pictures. Something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately is this problem lately where people don’t want to be baptized cause they are shy and embarrassed of those around them will think and all the inactive people that are here. They say the key is to fellowship them.

You guys keep having fun, hopefully I’m in Ha’apai the next time we email.

Week 22: Mission Conference with Elder Haleck

Hey I’m good.

The mission conference was very good. I got to talk to and meet a lot of new missionaries, and meet up with Chandler and Mohulamu. The mission conference was today and yesterday. All the missionaries from here in Tonga and ‘Eua came. The missionaries in Ha’apai went over to Vava’u and they all had there own conference over there. Elder Haleck from the 70 came as well as Elder Caldwell I think and another guy who was part of the presidency of the seventy. They all talked about the importance of prayer with an investigator cause that’s the only way an investigator is able to receive their own witness.

Dang sounds like a good Thanksgiving, You know the last time I saw grandpa I was a Sophmore in high school.

The next transfer is the 26th and I want to move to motu (island). I got to talk with another one of Papa’s cousins, Raymond Sika. It was really cool, he was really funny. He asked me if Papa was a bishop and I was like yeah and then he told me faka’ofa ae uooti (I feel sorry for the ward) haha. I want to go speak Tongan with all my family haha. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m definitely not fluent right now.

Dang Leigh got engaged, that’s cool. Yeah Tonga is crazy right now cause of the election and the rugby team. It’s so ridiculous. Sorry there’s not a lot of pics, people will send pics to me later and I will send them to you.

Week 21: Just so you know too, I love Tonga so much.

I like your haircut mom, but you probably won’t like mine, haha. I’m good, my comps fine. He got his Visa so I’m pretty sure he leaves at the end of the transfer. So I’ll be in Vaini for next transfer. Yeah I can’t believe that was a year ago with my knee. My knee is okay I guess. The work is fine. I didn’t know there was an earthquake, I didn’t feel nothing. Dad, I’m really happy for you (dad’s achilles tendon is all healed now), now you can start your training Turkey Bowl 2018, #THECOMEBACK.

Man, president Tuione officially has 3 children on a mission right now. But his son comes back pretty soon. Next week is the mission Tour, I’m hecka excited. ALL the missionaries in Tonga even in the outer islands are coming here and we are gonna listen to a general authority. I’m excited to meet up with my MTC comp elder chandler and my last comp Elder Mohulamu. Man, next month is my six month mark, crazy yeah.
I’m grateful for my Saviour Jesus Christ he is everything to me everything I do is centered around him. I’m grateful that I don’t starve here, haha. I’m grateful for the Book of Mormon. I’m grateful for my family and friends.
